Massoud Javid

Born in the big city of Tehran, Massoud Javid discovered his love for the arts at a very young age. In his early childhood, he discovered he could truly express his emotions through the composition of light and color. From the ripe young age of fourteen to his early twenties Massoud had studied art along side many great masters in Tehran and learned much from his experiences. This helped him mold his vision and also drove him to pursue his love for the arts. As a young student, Massoud and his wife moved to the United States in 1973, where he attended numerous workshops and intensive university art classes.

Throughout his art career, Massoud has taken on many different aspects of painting. This is especially reflected in his early portfolio, which consists of large abstracts and figurative artwork. Massoud was fortunate to have the opportunity to refine his artistic skills under the guidance of several renowned artists. Today his work consists primarily of landscapes created on location in the Plein-Air style.

The love Massoud instills into each artwork is apparent in the courageous battles of light and shadow that capture the delicate emotional imprint of his subjects. “I paint with all my heart. My paintings are a true manifestation of my emotions.” Massoud brings to life his signature landscape paintings through the same emotional process that governed his mastery of shapes and forms in his past works.
